Is SNS 24 free to call from a mobile?
I only have a prepaid Portuguese SIM with a few euros left. Will calling 808 24 24 24 drain the balance?

808 numbers are shared-cost lines. From a mobile they usually charge like a national call under your tariff, so a long triage can use credit. It is still the right first call for non-emergency health doubt. If someone is unconscious, bleeding heavily, or cannot breathe, skip the debate and dial 112.
