Praça Pedro Nunes: more pavement, less road
The council’s redesign cuts the carriageway and grows the green. Works are already on site.
In Cedofeita, the city presented an updated redesign for Praça Pedro Nunes: roughly half the road width, more pedestrian space, and a larger green share. Surrounding streets are meant to calm traffic; parking on the square itself shrinks.
Works have been running since late 2025. Expect cones, temporary routes and arguments about whether the change goes far enough. Use the detour signs, not the old mental map of the square.
