SNS 24 and when to go to Urgência

Portugal’s public front door for “I feel bad but I am not sure how bad” is SNS 24: 808 24 24 24, also on sns24.gov.pt and the app. A nurse tells you to stay home, go to a health centre, or go to hospital.

Urgência

Hospital emergency rooms are for emergencies. For fever, a child who will not drink, or doubt at midnight, call SNS 24 first. More local habit: When you are ill in Porto and the pharmacy open tonight.
