Which rental and “police” scams should newcomers in Porto spot?
Someone messaged me about a flat I have not seen, and another call said I had a fine.

Housing: if the owner is “abroad” and wants a deposit before any video call or viewing, walk away. Check that the person at the door matches the name on the contract. Impersonation: real police and Finanças do not ask you to pay a fine by MB Way gift or crypto in a phone call. Hang up and use official numbers from the institution’s website.
