Is a day trip from Porto to Braga or Guimarães by train realistic?
I have one free Saturday. Braga or Guimarães?

Both work as day trips from Campanhã / São Bento connections. Braga suits cathedral and Bom Jesus plans; Guimarães suits the historic centre and castle area. Check Comboios de Portugal times the night before, buy on the app or machine, and mind the last return. Neither needs a car if you stay central.
