Matosinhos for fish, not for a checklist
The Dom Luís bridge is not the only lunch. Cross for the grill if you have the afternoon.

Matosinhos still feeds Porto when the Ribeira menus look the same. The metro ends near the beach and the grill houses; the fish market area and the Rua de Herbón stretch are where people argue about sea bass, not about selfie angles.
One long-running name is O Gaveto, our places note. Book if you can. Order the day’s fish. Leave the francesinha for another day.
