Siza’s Avenida da Ponte plan goes to public comment
Affordable homes, a museum building and gardens on the slope between São Bento and the Luís I bridge.
The city executive opened public discussion on a land-division plan for Avenida da Ponte (Avenida de D. Afonso Henriques), signed by Álvaro Siza Vieira. The outline covers seven plots with affordable rental homes, shop and office space, parking, a museum building and gardens on the long-empty slope beside the Sé.
This is planning paperwork, not a start date for diggers. Read the municipal notice and the drawings on the Câmara site if you live nearby or care about that stretch between São Bento and the bridge. Comments belong in the official window, not in a group chat screenshot.
