From the airport to the centre by metro

The metro station is inside the airport, follow the signs for Metro. Line E, the purple one, runs between the airport and Estádio do Dragão and stops at Trindade, on the way into the centre.

Buy the ticket before you go through the gates. For the airport to Trindade the zone count is Z4. In the 2026 occasional tariff a Z4 is €2.30. A Z2 is not enough for this ride, and a second Z2 will not be charged if the first one is still valid.

Validate on the platform. If you change line at Trindade, validate again. Trains are about every 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the day.
