A slow Sunday outdoors in Porto
Porto Sundays do not need a spreadsheet. One green stretch, one museum lawn if you want art, and a late walk by the river is enough.
Morning: Parque da Cidade
The city park toward Matosinhos is large enough to lose the centre’s noise. Take a tram or bus toward the sea end, walk the paths, and ignore anyone selling a “must-do” list of ten viewpoints.
Afternoon: Serralves
Fundação de Serralves combines a contemporary museum with a park that rewards a slow loop. Check ticket rules for the park-only option versus the full museum. Close before the last entry time the site lists that day.
Evening: soft light, not a pub crawl
If you still have legs, the Crystal Palace gardens or a quiet stretch of the Ribeira before the late crowds is enough. Eat where a table exists; do not invent a reservation panic.
Places we keep on the map: Parque da Cidade, Serralves, and the Crystal Palace gardens under Places.
