Mercado do Bolhão is Porto’s central covered market, rebuilt and reopened as a working hall. Stallholders sell fruit, fish, meat, flowers and snacks. Saturday morning is the busy ritual; weekday mornings are calmer for a proper shop.
The city and the market operators publish hours. A longer walkthrough of how to shop there is in our guide Shopping at Bolhão market.
