A VR headset at home
Image: Teleporto.
A virtual-reality headset is a screen strapped to the face. Families use one for a game, a filmed walk somewhere else, or exercise in the living room. It is not a medical device and it is not a way to see a doctor. It needs a clear patch of floor, about two steps in each direction, and a chair for anyone who would rather sit.
Some people feel sick after a few minutes. That is the headset, not a personal failure. Take it off. Children and the manual’s age line are the shop’s problem to explain before you pay. Try one in a shop in Porto, Worten or Fnac are the ordinary counters, before you buy a sealed box from abroad. A Portuguese invoice is what you need when a strap breaks.
The picture on this page is an illustration of a desk, not a recommendation of a brand. Prices move every season. If the point is a film with the family, a television is simpler and does not need the floor.
